Scholarship Presentation

Thanks to Barbara Nezat and Claire Phillips for presenting our annual scholarship to Priscilla Perrase. This outstanding Belle Chasse High Student has a 3.7 grade point average, is a member of the National Beta Club, a senior editor of the school yearbook, and a member of the student council for two years. She also volunteers for Toys for Tots and in local nursing homes. Priscilla plans to attend Loyola in the fall.
Congratulations Priscilla and all of the class of 2008!
Installation Meeting
Thanks for the book and bonsai tree. It was a wonderful year full of progress. Be on the look out for news about our up coming new member tea. Be thinking about those you know who would like to be a part of what we are doing and be prepared to invite them to this tea. Information will be forthcoming soon.

Installation Party and Scholarships
Don't forget everyone!!! Officer installation party at Nancy's house Friday night, May 16th at 7:00 pm! Please call Nancy and let her know if you will be attending if you haven't already done so. We're going to have a lot of fun and eat a lot of yummy food grilled by Bailey! Can't wait to see you all there.
Please make plans to see our yearly scholarship awarded to a worthy student on Friday May 16th. The lucky recipient is a secret! Even we don't know who it is. I can't wait to find out!

From Barbara Nezat:
I spoke to Helen tonight and she said her surgery went well, she is home now. She said they removed a growth the size of a pecan from her thyroid, however it was not malignant.
